Pro Skateboarders that Skate Goofy

Image
Skating goofy in skateboarding means your right foot is on the front of the board and you push with your left foot. In pro skateboarding, most of the skaters skate regular which is where your left foot is on the front of the board and you push with your right foot. There aren't many goofy skaters that are pro out there, but there are a couple and they make a name for the goofy skaters. Chris Russell and Felipe Gustavo are great examples of pro goofy skaters.  Chris Russell was born in california in november of 1996 and is sponsored by several popular brands such as; Creature, Red-Bull, Vans, etc. Chris features in several skate parts produced by; Red-Bull, Independent Trucks, OJ Wheels, Creature Skateboards, and Thrasher Magazine. The most popular video is the Creature Video posted by Creature Skateboards and currently sits at 810k views. I'd recommend watching the video. It's quite entertaining and Chris Russell opens up the video which is cool to see.  The CREATURE Vi...

Why Vans Half Cabs are the best Shoes for Skateboarding

Image
Vans is a very large brand, well recognised in the world of skateboarding. The Half Cab shoe was originally released in 1992, honoring Steve Caballero's shoe model. Half Cabs are a very reliable shoe for skateboarding and have a good reputation throughout their 25 years of being released, making a name for themselves. The shoes also include PopCush insoles on the inside of the shoe which are really nice providing an easier pop and impact protection. The shoe also has good protection over your ankle which is really nice because your board has less of a chance to...

Why Tony Hawk was the Best Skateboarder Overall

Image
First off, this blog is not saying that Tony Hawk is the best skateboarder simply because of his skill, it's also mentioning how he changed the sport and what he did for the skateboarding community. Tony Hawk is an excellent man and I am proud that he is a big part of skateboarding and its community. Starting with the Birdman's skill, in total Tony won 73 titles over the span of his career. Tony was named the top vert skater from 1984 to 1996 and he also created several moves impacting the entire sport of skateboarding.      Furthermore, Tony Hawk has done alot for the community of skateboarding which pushed not only his career but the careers of many others at the same time. Firstly, he created and funded The Skate Park Project, which is a project that helps communities build public skateparks in underserved areas. Over 10 million dollars was funded into The Skatepark Project which all went into the development of over 600 skateparks worldwide. In addition, througho...
